Today was one of those days that will remain in our hearts: the enthronement of a Pope is not something that happens every day. Every Pope is unique and unrepeatable, and I am sure that this will also be true of Leo XIV. In these first few days, he has already shown humility, strength, culture and enthusiasm. Today I met many friends from all over the world; I had already seen some of them at the funeral of the late Pope Francis, and we had spoken with sadness in our hearts at the passing of a great man. Today there was joy and smiles because the world has already understood that the Church of Rome will have a truly extraordinary Pope. His words today are a source of energy for those on a spiritual journey, and he described well 'the restlessness in the search for God'. This also applies to those of other faiths. Leo XIV was humble and said: 'I have been chosen without any merit, and with fear and trembling I come to you as a brother who wants to be a servant of your faith and your joy'. The Holy Father was concrete and visionary and pointed the way forward: 'Build a new world where peace reigns'. His Holiness concluded with a universal message in which I also recognise myself: 'Let us walk towards God and love one another'. As Catholics say: Long live the Pope!!!
