Africa is a land full of opportunities and it seems that its nations have set their sights on Italy.
Kenyan President William Ruto said: “Today, Africa is the continent of opportunities and great potential. We have the largest renewable energy resource, the youngest population and minerals critical to the energy transition,”
“We can work together as partners,” said GKSD President and GSD Vice President Kamel Ghribi while welcoming guests and speakers at the evening gala dinner of the 5th ECAM Summit of which he is President and Founder. This non-profit entity is supported by GKSD Investment Holding and Gruppo San Donato (GSD).
"This is an important moment, Italy leads Europe towards Africa" stated the President of ECAM, as he welcomed the guests and speakers. During his warm welcome he also spoke of "a great moment for Italy and for Africa". Among the speakers and guests were William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of Somalia,Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, Ignazio La Russa, President of Senato, Licia Ronzulli, Vice President of the Senate, Maria Elisabetta Casellati, Minister of Institutional Reforms, Luigi Di Maio, EU Special Representative for the Gulf Region, as well as 1 Vice President, 16 Ministers, 15 Ambassadors, 4 leaders of international organisations and 6 Deputy Prime Ministers and Government Representatives.
“The time has come to change the way we look at African countries.” Ghribi said. “And Italy's plan to invest 5.5 billion euros to launch pilot projects on education, professional training, healthcare, water, renewable energy and agriculture is an important first step”.
